And the winner is...

Well, thank goodness the Olympics are over. Curses to European Central Time! Most of the events came on reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally late for us. All the curling semis and finals were amazing. If the U.S. isn't in a match, I always root for the underdog. I was glad, though, that the the Chinese women's team took home a medal. They were the world champs and they deserved a medal. And it was nice to see the Canadian men take gold on home ice, although I was pulling for the dark-horse, bright-pantsed Norwegians.
Canada: Woo-hoo, we took the most golds, eh! And we took the gold in women's and men's hockey! We win!
United States: Yay! We broke the winter Olympics record for most medals! We win!
Germany: Haha! We won the Ladies' Speed Skating Pursuit even though Friesinger crossed the finish line on her stomach during the semis! And we got one more gold than the U.S. We win!
Korea: Hooray for Yun-na! We have the queen of ice skating! We win!
Russia: We won men's figure skating! Oh, wait, we didn't. Government action is called for!
Japan: Yay! We, uh. Um. Uh. Hey, where's that dude who was sagging his Olympic uniform pants and wearing his shirt untucked? Let's suspend him!
U.S. snowboarders: Dude! That's harsh! Our uniforms were like designed to look like a flannel shirt and jeans. And not just jeans but worn-out jeans. Tubular! Baggy jeans win!
So, everyone's a winner. But who won the Alan-o-meter (3 points per gold, 2 per silver, 1 per bronze)?

U.S.: 70
Germany: 63
Canada: 61
Norway: 49
Korea: 32
Austria: 26
Russia: 26

That's all till London 2012.
