Spring recital

What a busy day! The girls also had their spring recital today.  Because of changes in teachers and classes, Laurel did a voice recital, and Meggie did a piano recital.  Next winter, Laurel will probably do percussion and voice, and Meggie will probably do piano and voice.  Both girls have wonderful teachers at their music school and really enjoy it.

In addition to music, Meggie is swimming, and Laurel is doing dance.  Both girls are having fun with their activities.

I enjoyed bringing out my camera for some pre-recital photos.  I hope to start taking more pictures again and using some of my vintage equipment.

Here is Meggie's piano recital.  It's hard to hear what she says, but she says her name and says she's playing "Chante Arabe."   Meggie's been playing for about four months, and she really loves it.  She says she wants to focus on piano rather than violin for now.

Laurel is singing "Baby Mine." :o)  She really enjoys her lessons and has a lovely teacher.  She was really nervous before going on stage.  But afterwards she said she had fun and can't wait till the December recital.
