Hooray for Meggie

Meggie went to preschool today! She had a great time. They learned about the letter "d" and made a duck book to illustrate. They also played in the snow and painted. And she did well with her potty training. I'm so excited about all the social skills she's going to acquire. The kids take turns bringing in and distributing the daily snack. What a nice lesson for her to learn.

I can't believe I've got a child in school, who brings objects to show and tell and is penciled into the snack schedule. *sigh* It's our own fault, though. Sometimes I feel like a fool. I want her to progress, progress, progress. I'm always trying to wedge some kind of lesson into an activity. (Hey, it's not just me. I overheard Alan playing blocks with her: "OK, Meggie, can you please hand me the blue quadruple? Quadruple means it has four. No, that's the blue triple." I bet he thinks it will help her in softball.)

And I'm glad she's doing well. And I'm glad the teacher said she was ready to start preschool. But it all went so fast. She looked like this just a couple of years ago...
