A cocoa toast

When Meggie is at preschool, playing in the snow with her friends, Laurel and I have nothing to do but drink cocoa and write silly poetry.
__________________________

A toast to mounds of sugar snow
That paint our winter white.
And to the warmth inside our homes
And glowing Christmas lights.

Here's to the preschool teachers
Who bundle up the kids.
And to our cars with four-wheel drive,
Preventing snowy skids.

Hooray for winter children,
who thrive in this cold weather.
Mugs raised to you
Who read this through.

Wish we could sip together.

I love your poetry. Your Aunt Pam and I have had many cups of tea "together" while setting up a drinking time!!
